Emmys 2025: Date Set by CBS and Television Academy
The Emmys 2025 ceremony date has been announced by CBS and the Television Academy.
Also this week, TV Academy chair Cris Abrego announced that the execs he appointed to the Television Academy’s Board of Governors executive committee last year would continue this year: Paul Buccieri, president and chairman, A+E Networks Group; Dany Garcia, founder, CEO and chairwoman, The Garcia Companies, and co-founder, Seven Bucks Productions; Pearlena Igbokwe, chairman of NBC Entertainment; John Landgraf, chairman, FX; Amy Reisenbach, president, CBS Entertainment; and Brandon Riegg, vice president, nonfiction series, Netflix. Per the org, the six “will advise Abrego and the 2025 board on some of the most important issues and initiatives facing the television industry while helping to shape the organization’s direction.” Application(s) must be completed and paid for by this date May 8 Entry deadline for programs that identify as Primetime programming by virtue of genre and were originally presented June 1, 2024 – May 31, 2025; Upload deadline for all entry materials June 12 Nominations-round voting begins June 23 10 p.m. Nominations-round voting ends June 27 – July 7 Voting for peer group-specific top ten round panels (if applicable) July 15 Nominations announced July 29 Deadline for errors and omissions to the nominations Week of August 11 Final-round videos available for viewing August 18 Final-round voting begins August 27 10 p.m. Final-round voting ends September 6 and September 7 2025 Creative Arts Emmy Awards and Governors Gala September 14 77th Emmy Awards CBS Telecast and Governors Gala October 14 77th Engineering, Science & Technology Emmy Awards
