Emmy Arrivals Delayed By Pro-Gaza Protestors Near Red Carpet
Emmy Awards attendees today found their arrival at the Peacock Theatre held up by protesters in downtown LA.
Similar to the Oscars earlier this year and Joe Biden and Barack Obama’s June 15 double bill fundraiser, pro- Gaza protestors took to the streets before TV’s big night. Waving flags and shouting chants, approximately 35 protestors were gathered at S Figueroa and W 18 th Street down the road from the LA Live complex where Sunday’s 76 th Primetime Emmys are. “No justifying the murder of children,” read a sign one protestor was holding, referring to Israel’s military campaign against Hamas in Gaza since the brutal October 7 attack on the Jewish state that saw thousands killed, raped, maimed and hundreds taken hostage.
