The actor, who was known for playing Jack Sugden in the long running ITV soap for 28 years, was filming a scene involving a tractor when things went wrong. Clive tragically passed away from cancer at the age of 63, He had filmed his final scenes on the soap earlier that year, and had denied the rumours about his ill health, insisting he had no plans to leave the show. Following the news of his death, the soap's series producer at the time, Anita Turner, said: "Clive will be greatly missed by everyone who has worked with him on Emmerdale during the past 28 years.
