Emmerdale star leaves new BBC role in tears just months after starting


Gemma Oaten, who played Rachel Breckle in Emmerdale, has announced she is stepping down from her role as a presenter for BBC's Radio Humberside after just a few months.

Gemma went on to thank her colleagues at the station for helping her settle into the role, and while she didn't disclose the reason for her departure, the star referenced 'difficult times'. Assuring that she would explain all in the future, she wrote: "Being with Mum @margoaten & Dad has been so special (especially with our little Robin, sunset chats & pooches) as we've looked after each other whilst navigating through some challenging times (again, 1 for another day...)"
