Emmerdale star announces long-awaited return to soap – 'Good to be back!'
Emmerdale star Alfie Clarke, who plays Arthur Thomas in the soap, has announced he is returning to the Yorkshire Dales in a social media post to the delight of fans
Alfie’s teen character Arthur has been absent from the Yorkshire-set soap for the last few weeks, meaning he wasn’t present for the big storyline involving his mum, Laurel. Laurel returned home during the episode on Tuesday 9 July, where she was greeted by her family, including Jai, Archie, Dotty and Gabby. There had never been any mention of Arthur going to Australia before this, but it is likely that the line was inserted to explain actor Alfie’s absence when Laurel’s dramatic storyline began.
