Emmerdale fans left stunned as teen returns to village looking 'unrecognisable'
Emmerdale fans have said Arthur Thomas, as played by Alfie Clarke, was ‘unrecognisable’ on his return to the Dales following his few months away from the soap
The character has been missing from the soap for a few months while it is believed actor Alfie studied and took his GCSEs, but Arthur returned on Thursday, complete with a new haircut that led one fan to note he had “aged 10 years on his holiday". When Laurel returned home from the hospital, she was greeted by her family but there was no sign of teen son Arthur, and there had only been a brief reference to explain his absence the week before. When Laurel suggested Gabby Thomas and her son could move into Mulberry Cottage at the start of July, she said: "Arthur's in Australia and there's more than enough room in the inn.
