Emmanuel Macron Doesn’t Want ‘Emily in Paris’ to Find Love in Rome: It ‘Doesn’t Make Sense’

Emmanuel Macron promises to put up a good fight to keep the popular Netflix series 'Emily in Paris' from making the move from France to Rome, Italy.

After back-to-back seasons of love triangles, miscommunications, and outright deception, Emily in Paris finally has a promising plot to move forward with. Emily (Lily Collins) is trading in her tireless on-again, off-again relationship with Chef Gabriel for a whirlwind romance with Marcello, the rich Italian beau who whisked her off to Rome. Lucky for Macron, Emily’s move to Rome doesn’t mark a complete abandonment of France — but if the fact that her French has barely improved across four seasons is any indicator, she probably would be better off starting from scratch with Italian.
