Emily VanCamp To Lead Canadian TV Drama About Former Sex Worker Turned Litigator
Emily VanCamp is leading Canadian drama 'Prejudice' from Celeste Parr, Keshet International, Thruline Entertainment, Pixcom
In Prejudice, VanCamp plays Liesl Wellington, a rising Toronto litigator whose career and marriage to a senator are thrown into upheaval when her past as a sex worker is publicly exposed. Keshet International(KI), Audrey’s Back indie Pixcom and The Great co-producer Thruline Entertainment are behind Prejudice, which doesn’t have a network attached. KI CEO Keren Shahar called Prejudice a “heartening legal drama that takes on all the forces that conspire to keep the underdog hidden, silent, unequal, and without agency.” “There are so many elements about this series that will appeal to audiences, not least having the talented Emily VanCamp cast in the lead role,” he added.
