Emily Blunt is taking her parents to the Oscars with her and reveals how they helped inspire her Hollywood career

The Oppenheimer star, 41, is up for Best Supporting Actress for her role as the wife of the titular wartime hero in the lauded summer epic.

The Devil Wears Prada actress - who is married to John Krasinski and has Hazel, nine, and seven-year-old Violet with him - recently explained that she was hoping to take her folks along to the biggest nights in film because it coincided with her dad's birthday. Emily is nominated alongside Danielle Brooks (The Color Purple), America Ferrera (Barbie), Jodie Foster (Nyad), Da'Vine Joy Randolph (The Holdovers) and the winner will be announced at the ceremony in Los Angeles on March 10. The actress went on to talk about several scenes in the movie when she had to depict her character of Kitty Oppenheimer drunk - and she insisted she was sober throughout after previously knocking back booze for another drunken role and it went horribly wrong.
