Emily Blunt breaks her silence on The Devil Wears Prada sequel rumours amid claims she's being eyed to return alongside Meryl Streep
Rumours have swirled for weeks that the actress, 41, is set to reprise her role as the acid-tongued assistant Emily Charlton, 18 years after the original film hit screens.
Speaking to PEOPLE while attending the American Institute for Stuttering 18th Annual Gala on Monday, Emily was asked about the news that sequel has been greenlit. She then went onto joke about how she'll be getting back into character, with a reference to Emily's battle with stomach flu, which helped her slim down to attend Paris Fashion Week. The story follows Andy, a Northwestern grad who somehow lands a job as a junior personal assistant to Miranda Priestley, the editor-in-chief of Runway Magazine.
