Emilio Estevez Wrote ‘Mighty Ducks 4’ to ‘Make Up for All the Disasters That Happened’ on the Disney+ Series: They Didn’t ‘Want to Pursue’ Another Movie

Emilio Estevez said he wrote a "Mighty Ducks 4" script to make up for the "disasters" of the canceled Disney+ series "Mighty Ducks: Game Changers."

Emilio Estevez revealed on the “Happy Sad Confused” podcast that he wrote a spec script for a fourth “Mighty Ducks” movie that he says Disney was not interested in making. According to a source close to the production, Estevez parted ways with “Game Changers” ahead of Season 2 filming due to a disagreement over ABC Signature’s COVID-19 vaccination requirement, as he would not confirm that he would comply with the policy. Under the return-to-work agreement between studios and unions, production for “The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers” required vaccination against COVID-19 for everyone in Zone A, which included all actors and crew members who came into contact with them.
