Emilio Estevez Says Late St. Elmo’s Fire Director Joel Schumacher Was 'Bully' and 'Nightmare on Set'
Emilio Estevez doesn’t have the best memories of his time on set with late 'St. Elmo’s Fire' director Joel Schumacher. The actor said Schumacher was a 'bully' and 'nightmare on set' of the 1985 coming-of-age film.
On Thursday, April 17, the Breakfast Club alum, 62, opened up about the beloved Brat Pack movie while on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. Horowitz called Estevez’s experience working with Schumacher “a shame,” but noted that he’d “heard those stories also” when it came to Val Kilmer ’s relationship with the director. “Joel may have met his match,” Estevez added of Schumacher working with the late Batman Forever actor, who recently died from pneumonia on April 1 at age 65.
