Em Rusciano slams the Australian Podcast Awards for snubbing her 'number one podcast'


Em Rusciano has accused the Australian podcasting industry of ignoring her after her mental health and disability-focused podcast, Anomalous, failed to receive an award nomination for the APAs.

Anomalous was the first Australian Spotify exclusive show, Em said, as she also admitted that she hadn't anticipated feeling so upset about the lack of inclusion as a nominee in the iHeart Radio sponsored awards. The presenter recently joked that getting the triple diagnoses of ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder), autism and early menopause, at age 42, makes her an 'overachiever' as well as being 'a total ego death'. In 2023, the top three podcasting awards went to Brittany Hockley and Laura Byrne's Life Uncut, The Lawyer, The Sniper, and the NSW Police, TikToker Kat Clark and her daughter Latisha's Basically Besties nabbed the Listener's Choice
