Elvis Presley's personal Bible from Graceland up for auction ... found on singer's nightstand when he died
The bid for the Holy Bible (World Edition) is current bid of $30,000, according to GWS Auctions, adding that a live auction is slated to commence on May 25.
Noteworthy is that the person who owns the auction house is Brigitte Kruse, the one-time business associate of Priscilla Presley, TMZ reported on Tuesday. In the court papers, which were filed last September, Kruse said that she provided management to Priscilla for her business and personal affairs at a critical time when the celebrity was running perilously low on funds. The auction of the Bible comes at what appears to be a turbulent time for the show business family, as the Graceland property in Memphis is slated for foreclosure Thursday.
