Elton John 'moved congregation to tears' with 'special send-off' to Kate Garraway's husband Derek Draper
Kate Garraway said farewell to her beloved husband, Derek Draper, on 2 February, after he passed away, four years on from falling desperately ill due to contracting Covid
Derek, who was a political advisor, died on 3 January, aged 56, after suffering a heart attack, brought on from the devastating effects of long covid for four years. As a special tribute to Derek, Kate wore his watch to the funeral service, which took place at the Church of St Mary the Virgin in Primrose Hill. Along with a knitted turtle neck jumper, the broadcast journalist opted for a black satin skirt, button-down wool coat and matching boots.
