Elon Musk Says X, SpaceX Leaving California After Gov. Newsom Signs Law Protecting Trans Students From Being Outed to Their Parents: ‘This Is the Final Straw’
Elon Musk says X will move to Texas due to a California law that prohibits schools from notifying parents if their children is using other pronouns.
Elon Musk announced on social media that he will be moving the headquarters to his companies X and SpaceX out of California after state governor Gavin Newsom signed a new law that prohibits school districts from informing parents if their children decide to go by a different gender. “Because of this law and the many others that preceded it, attacking both families and companies, SpaceX will now move its HQ from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas.” Musk added, “I did make it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and companies to leave California to protect their children.”
