Ellen DeGeneres sells California mansion for eye-watering $96million

Ellen DeGeneres and wife Portia de Rossi have sold their sprawling California mansion for a whopping $96 million.

The TV personality bought the 10-acre property in the town of Carpinteria in 2022 for $70 million, marking the largest real estate deal ever in Santa Barbara County. Property records obtained by the Wall Street Journal show she sold the blufftop home for $96 million less than two years later to an entity tied to mining magnate Robert Friedland. When DeGeneres bought the Tuscan-style mansion in star-studded Carpinteria, the home boasted more than 9,000 square feet, five bedrooms and eight bathrooms over three levels.
