Elle King Reschedules Billy Bob’s Texas Show After Grand Ole Opry Concert Backlash


The show postponement follows King’s recent profanity-laced Grand Ole Opry performance, which drew backlash against the singer.

The news comes after King’s profanity-laced performance during a tribute show at Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium in honor of Dolly Parton’s 78th birthday. Video from the performance shows her attempt to cover Parton’s “Marry Me,” in which King slurs her words and forgets the lyrics to the song. 1 Country Airplay collaborations: “Drunk (And I Don’t Wanna Go Home)” with Miranda Lambert as well as “Different for Girls” with Dierks Bentley.
