Elizabeth MacRae, 'General Hospital' and 'Gomer Pyle' Star, Dead at 88

Elizabeth MacRae was cast in a series of TV and film roles up until 1989.

She had parts on General Hospital, Gunsmoke, I Dream of Jeannie, The Andy Griffith Show, Bonanza, Gomer Pyle: USMC, Kojak, Days of Our Lives, Guiding Light and many more. According to Deadline, MacRae moved back to North Carolina with her husband, Charles Day Halsey Jr., after she left acting. The General Hospital family suffered another tragic loss this week as actor Johnny Wactor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend.
