Elizabeth opened the inspiring evening with a heartfelt tribute to the late founder Evelyn H. Lauder - who passed away in 2011. 'My mother's vision 30 years ago with Dr. Larry Norton was to create an effort and foundation to raise awareness and funds to find a cure for breast cancer,' the businessman stated. The foundation has raised around $1billion since its launch, and while the mortality rates of those with a breast cancer diagnosis have gone down, he discussed how women are still being diagnosed with the illness.
