El Taiger dead at 37: Cuban musical artist passes away a week after a 'senseless violent crime'
'This afternoon, El Taiger was pronounced dead and is now reunited with his beloved mother in heaven,' his family said in an Instagram Stories statement Thursday.
The Miami Police Department said last week in a news conference that El Taiger was found by authorities in a black vehicle after he was shot in the head, after they received a call on the morning of October 3. In 2017, El Taiger provided vocals on the track La Habana in a collab with Pinto 'Wahin' and DJ Ricky Luna, featured on the soundtrack for The Fate of the Furious. Miami Police Chief Manuel A. Morales said last week that investigators think the musical performer was shot at another location and then taken to an area nearby the medical facility, TMZ reported.
