Eiza González Says She Got Natalie Portman Endorsement For Evelyn Hugo Role: “It’d Be Such An Honor”
Eiza González got a big endorsement from Natalie Portman to play the titled role in the film adaptation of the Taylor Jenkins Reid novel The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo.
The Baby Driver alum said that while filming The Fountain of Youth, co-star Natalie Portman told her, “I can’t think of anyone else to do Evelyn Hugo.” González also mentioned that she thinks the creators “did such an amazing job” with the film adaptation of Reid’s novel Daisy Jones & the Six, which starred Riley Keough in the titled role. The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo tells the story of a fictional old Hollywood star giving a final interview to unknown journalist Monique Grant.
