Edie Falco's upcoming Nurse Jackie continuation series moves from Showtime to Amazon Prime Video... a year after the sequel was announced


The news about the continuation of the medical comedy-drama series was confirmed on Wednesday, when it was revealed that the program would no longer be hosted on Showtime.

The show will follow the troubled care provider — played by Falco, 60 — as she attempts to put her life back together after losing her nursing license. Nurse Jackie, which was co-created by, Liz Brixius, Evan Dunsky and Linda Wallem, initially made its debut on Showtime in June of 2009.
