Edgar Bronfman Jr. Sweetens Bid For Paramount To $6 Billion
Edgar Bronfman Jr has sweetened his bid for Paramount to $6 billion as he attempts to pry the company from its merger agreement with Skydance.
Bronfman would like the other $1.7 billion to be offered to Paramount’s Class B nonvoting shareholders. The revision comes as a special committee of Paramount’s board met several times to consider Bronfman’s offer ahead of an 11:59 pm ET deadline that would end the 45-day go-shop period included in the Paramount-Skydance deal.
