EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: TV chef Gizzi Erskine's 'brutal' debt as house sale falls through
Her father, the late 2nd Baron Erskine of Rerrick, was declared bankrupt and now television chef Gizzi Erskine has been left 'broken' having suffered her own financial calamity.
Gizzi is desperate to clear debts after investing in a string of failed businesses, the most recent being the Love Cafe in Margate, Kent, which she ran with former Libertines singer Carl Barat The author of books including Cook Yourself Thin had been planning to split her time between a place in South London and Brighton, home of her rocker boyfriend, Matthew Turner, singer of punk band Luxury Apartments. In recent years Jodie, who's been twice married and has a son, Indio, by former boyfriend Argentinian polo player Andrea Vianini, has been landlady of the award-winning Half Moon pub in Kirdford, West Sussex.
