Eddie Redmayne looked casual as he was spotted grabbing lunch with a female pal while in New York City, sporting a print red T-shirt and black denim for his outing.
The British actor wowed viewers and critics alike with his extraordinary performance as the celebrated theoretical physicist, who lived with a rare form of ALS - a neurodegenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and spinal cord. The star went on to explain how he had been feeling immense pressure ahead of his first day on set because he had to play the renowned physicist at four different stages during his life: when he was a young man pre-diagnosis, when the symptoms rendered him unable to walk without a stick, when the disease 'really got a grip on him' and when he was confined to a wheelchair. The Danish Girl actor, who is married to Hannah Bagshawe, threw himself into training and research for the role, previously telling The Guardian that he visited the Queen Square Centre for Neuromuscular Diseases in London to talk to MND patients and their doctors.
