When Shona McGarty's fiancé David planned his romantic proposal, he never could have expected the police would show up in the middle of their cosy picnic. Shona - who rose to fame playing Albert Square legend Whitney Dean, the adopted daughter of Bianca (Patsy Palmer) - said ‘yes’ to David as he popped the question with a sparkling emerald and diamond ring. Now, as she enters a new and exciting chapter of her life - Shona made the difficult decision in 2023 to walk away from EastEnders after joining the cast aged 16 in 2008 - she's got a wedding to plan and it sounds like things will certainly be busy.
