EastEnders star Steve McFadden, who has played Phil Mitchell for 30 years, has been praised for his powerful performance in the BBC soap this week, and fans have now noticed his "iconic" role in a cult film

As his character has been battling loneliness and depression, viewers saw him experience a chill-inducing hallucination of past Mitchells, including portrayals of his mum, Peggy, by Jaime Winstone and dad, Eric, played by George Russo. One viewer exclaimed on X: "Deciding to watch Kevin and Perry Go Large and completely forgetting Steve McFadden is the guy taking payments on the door to Amnesia."
