EastEnders' Denzel star gives rare peek behind the scenes and reveals secret of his steroids storyline
Jaden Lageda, who stars as Denzel in BBC One's EastEnders, took viewers backstage in a rare look at the filming of the soap – and revealed some surprises along the way
Jaden's A Day In The Life at EastEnders video also featured some famous faces, including Tameka Empson, who plays Kim Fox, and Delroy Atkinson (on-screen dad, Howie Danes). The video begins with Jaden letting everyone into a secret – he wears a special padded bodysuit under his school uniform costume in the soap, so he has the rippling muscles that tie in with his disturbing steroids storyline. The soap has been exploring anabolic steroid dependency in a hard-hitting storyline that has seen Jaden's character Denzel struggling to have sex due to his misuse of the drugs, and his best friend Nugget being rushed to hospital.
