The stars of EastEnders were in high spirits as they partied into the early hours to mark the end of the 40th anniversary celebrations after the BBC soap aired a live episode
Viewers were left stunned last week when the dramatic live episode saw the Queen Vic explode and fan favourite, Martin Fowler, portrayed by James Bye, tragically die, causing a social media frenzy. The special episode was broadcast live from Albert Square, giving viewers the opportunity to choose whether Denise would reunite with her estranged husband Jack Branning (Scott Maslen) or start a new romance with Ravi Gulati (Aaron Thiara). The polls closed at 7.10pm on Thursday, just 20 minutes before the live episode aired, with producers assuring that regardless of the result, the public's choice would trigger a significant shift in Walford, leading to fresh storylines and iconic comebacks.
