EastEnders star sentenced after knifing woman who rejected his advances
Former EastEnders actor Harry Rafferty has avoided a prison sentence after punching a woman in the face and cutting her with a knife when she rejected his advances
The actor, known for his role as violent gang leader Kane in the BBC soap during 2013 reportedly flew into a "rage" and threatened to kill the woman following an altercation at a friend's house in Camden, north London. Prosecutor Frida Hussain KC told Wood Green Crown Court that the woman described Harry "making sexual advances that she rejected, and she had to justify why she didn't want anything to do with him". A "deeply remorseful" Harry wept in court and was sentenced earlier this month, with Judge David Aaronberg KC criticising him for denying the assault charge, reports the Mirror.
