EastEnders icon devastated as co-star axed - 'They were a joy'
EastEnders icon Rudolph Walker has written a memoir reflecting on his time on the BBC soap, and shared his sadness over one co-star's very tragic exit from the show
In his memoir Walking With Dignity, Rudolph recalls: "Working with Pam was a joy her timing, the twinkle in her eye in our flirting scenes, and her support from day one was invaluable. Pam couldn't stay away for too long, though; she made a comeback in 2014 for a Children in Need special after Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) had a hallucination of Pat following a bump on the head. And in 2016, she returned once more, donning Pat's signature oversized earrings and vibrant pink lipstick to join the late Dame Barbara Windsor's beloved Peggy Mitchell for a poignant farewell scene.
