During recent episodes, viewers have seen George Knight, played by Colin Salmon, discover the truth about his family in a series of shocking revelations. After pressing Gerald for answers, he learns that his adoptive father is in fact facing trial for a racially motivated murder that had taken place years ago. It soon transpires that a man named Henry Kofi Asare was George's biological father and was murdered by Eddie after he threatened to take his son back
