EastEnders announces Sonia Fowler twist during live episode
EastEnders viewers voted for Sonia Fowler's baby name after she went into labour during the 40th anniversary episode of the BBC soap and the result was revealed during the live episode on Thursday night
In a nail-biting episode earlier in the week, Sonia shared with Lauren Branning and Bianca Jackson that she was torn between two names, Julia and Toni. After a heart-stopping moment where newborn baby Julia turned blue and a weakened Sonia looked in danger, there was collective relief when both mother and child screamed to life and ended up safe in an ambulance.
