Neither Ronnie or Roxy actresses Samantha Womack or Rita Simmons agreed with their characters’ deaths, and fans have often called the loss of the sisters one of the biggest mistakes the show has ever made. Zoe Lucker’s incarnation was only on the Square for a short time, but when she found out about boyfriend Max’s affair with his ex-wife Tanya, she created one of the most shared scenes in EastEnders history. A flashforward on the 38th anniversary in February 2023 showed us Stacey Slater, Suki Panesar, Linda Carter, Sharon Watts, Denise Fox and Kathy Beale standing around a dead body.
