Eamonn Walker Is Stepping Back From 'Chicago Fire' After 12 Seasons

The actor is extinguishing his role as fire chief Wallace Boden.

A source told Deadline that Boden "is still very much alive and well" and "is expected to return to the show in a recurring capacity in the future." Most recently, Blake Gallo, portrayed by Alberto Rosende, departed Chicago Fire. Fans should receive more clarity on what the future holds for Boden after Chicago Fire's season 12 finale "Never Say Goodbye" airs on Wednesday, May 22.
