Now 81, Michael expressed his delight at Katie finding happiness with Eamonn, saying, "We've been split up for a lot of years now, but I see my son regularly, maybe once a week." The showbiz world was left stunned in May when news broke that Eamonn and Ruth were calling it quits after 14 years of marriage, heading for divorce.
