DWTS’ Mark Ballas Recruits Mom to Explain the Origin of His British Accent
‘DWTS’ alum Mark Ballas recruited his mom, Shirley Ballas, to explain why his British accent ‘goes in and out’
Shirley, 64, explained to followers it’s because Mark has “a full English mother who was born and raised in Liverpool in England.” His father, Corky Ballas, is from Texas. “I Had to let the QUEEN OF LATIN give some of yous a Histroy [sic] Lesson,” Mark captioned the clip, referring to Shirley’s history as a professional dancer and Strictly Come Dancing judge. Mirrorball champs or not, Dancing With the Stars has featured some impeccable professional dancers in the years since the ABC competition series premiered in 2005.
