Duchess Sophie following in Kate Middleton's footsteps to read CBeebies Bedtime Story
The Duchess of Edinburgh will read a bedtime story on CBeebies later this month to mark World Sight Day, following on from Kate Middleton's appearance on the children's show in 2022
For World Sight Day on Tuesday, October 10, Sophie will be reading Specs For Rex by Yasmeen Ismail, which tells the tale of a young lion reluctant to wear his new glasses. Sophie's episode will be aired on October 10 to mark World Sight Day (Image: No credit)Her chosen book is all about Rex, who is scared to wear his new glasses - which are big, round and red - to school so tries to hide them. The Princess of Wales' choice told the story of a young barn owl called Plop, who is helped by others in the forest to grow in confidence and overcome his personal fears.
