“Physical,” the pandemic-era defining Dua Lipa single, opens with the singer sharing an observation and a question: “Common love isn’t for us/We created something phenomenal/Don’t you agree?” As the fifth anniversary of her breakthrough album Future Nostalgia arrives, Lipa presents the question to Troye Sivan, the surprise guest collaboration on the newly-released “Physical” remix. She contined: “To celebrate this massive milestone in my life I’m sharing a version of Physical that @troyesivan and I worked on together years ago and it always felt like it needed an occasion and this feels like it’s the perfect time.” Lipa announced the collaboration when Sivan joined her for a surprise performance of his Something to Give Each Other single “Rush” at the Melboune, Australia stop on the Radical Optimism tour last weekend.
