Dua Lipa Turned Her One-Night-Only Royal Albert Hall Show Into a Live Album

Recorded during her Oct. 17 performance at the iconic venue and releasing on Friday, Dec. 6, the new LP features Lipa singing through the entirety of her latest album, Radical Optimism, with a number of her biggest hits sprinkled in for good measure. In a statement, Lipa shared that her performance at the legendary hall was “unlike anything I’ve ever done,” and that she wanted to have a permanent record of the show. “For the longest time, I’ve had this idea to reimagine my music with an orchestra, and when I was making Radical Optimism, I was constantly thinking about the live element and how these songs would transform on stage, so when The Royal Albert Hall show came up, it presented itself as the perfect opportunity to not only reconstruct these songs, but also celebrate them in such a beautiful and intimate way,” she said.
