Dua Lipa Says Some Artists Are ‘Ruthless’ in Sharing Their Private Lives

Dua Lipa said she 'naturally holds back' from oversharing in her lyricism, adding that some artists are 'ruthless' in exposing their personal lives.

In her 60 Minutes interview Sunday with Anderson Cooper, the British singer-songwriter shared that she prefers to not go deep in her lyricism for the sake of getting “people’s attention.” Ahead of the release of Radical Optimism this year, Lipa spoke to Rolling Stone about the sort of energy she wanted to transmit in the music and the lyricism. It shows how short our attention span is, which is why music comes out so much faster,” she told Rolling Stone during a cover story announcing the new LP era.
