Dua Lipa says she's willing to 'take the hit' of backlash for speaking out on Palestine as she discusses the importance of using her platform to raise awareness on political issues


The singer, 28, has been one of the longstanding celebrities who have been urging President Joe Biden to help deescalate the crisis in Gaza and Israel.

Together they wrote an open letter to the President, which explained that they have 'come together as artists and advocates, but most importantly as human beings witnessing the devastating loss of lives and unfolding horrors in Israel and Palestine'. Dua Lipa has said she's willing to 'take the hit' with backlash for speaking out on Palestine as she discussed the importance of using her platform to raise awareness on political issues in an interview with Radio Times Speaking about the upcoming election, she said she is a longstanding supporter of Labour as she added 'For me, over the past three or four years, I've kind of decided that standing behind a certain political party leader is probably not the route I want to take'
