Drew Barrymore shares what she really thinks about turning 50 this year as she reveals if she is dating again
Drew Barrymore is looking forward to arriving at a major milestone next month. The actress and talk show host will turn 50 on February 22.
Barrymore told AARP her daughters encourage her to date, but explained, 'also know how I felt when men were around when I was little—it didn’t feel safe to me, so I’m probably overcautious from those experiences.' She was born to actor John Blyth Barrymore III, 70, and aspiring actress Jaid Barry,78 in 1975, but her father left when she was only six months old and they have been estranged most of her life. She made a suicide attempt age 14, and after she was released, went to live with rocker David Crosby and his wife, Jan Dance for three months.
