Downtown L.A. Curfew Exceptions In Place For Performing Arts Venues Including Dorothy Chandler Pavilion & Mark Taper Forum As Curfew Extends Into Third Night – Update

A curfew imposed on a square-mile section of downtown Los Angeles has impacted concerts, theater events and cinemas in the area.

The curfew, which runs 8 p.m.-6 a.m. as is expected to be extended into Wednesday night, was imposed by the city Tuesday to curb looting in the area amid growing protests over ICE raids and the Trump administration calling in the National Guard and Marines. The Peacock Theater has canceled The Fly High Fest scheduled for Friday night that included performances by Chino Pacas, Los Caimanes, T3R Elemento, Kane Rodriguez, Estevan Plazola, Omar Ruiz and El De La Guitarra. At the Mark Taper Forum, Hamlet starring Patrick Ball ( The Pitt), Gina Torres ( Suits) and Coral Peña ( Our Dear Dead Drug Lord) canceled Tuesday and Wednesday’s performances.
