Downton Abbey star Elizabeth McGovern looked worlds away from her glamorous ITV character while filming the new TV show The Talamasca in Manchester city on Wednesday.

The actress, 63, who plays Cora Crawley in the beloved period drama, wore her natural silver locks loose and wrapped up from the cold in a black trench for the New York City-style street scenes (right in Downton Abbey) Her character description continues: 'She has long suspected that London's Motherhouse has fallen under the influence of traitorous elements, and a mysterious death prompts her to recruit Guy Anatole as her protégé.' Maggie, who also starred as Minerva McGonagall in seven of the eight Harry Potter films, passed away in hospital at the age of 89 on September 27 - prompting a flood of tributes as celebrities and fans mourned the heartbreaking loss.
