Double Tony Winner Michael Cerveris Joins Broadway’s ‘Tammy Faye’ As Jerry Falwell
Michael Cerveris will play Jerry Falwell in this fall's Broadway production of the musical Tammy Faye.
“As an audience member,” said director Rupert Goold in a statement, “I’ve always admired Michael’s performances and I am thrilled to welcome him into the Tammy Faye family. I can’t wait to get into the rehearsal room to work with Michael and the full company to bring this wonderful new musical to Broadway audiences this fall.” Tammy Faye, a hit on London’s West End, begins previews at Broadway’s newly refurbished Palace Theater on October 19, with opening night set for November 14.
