Blue Bloods fans have been thirsty for a Danny Reagan and Maria Baez romance — but actor Donnie Wahlberg has enjoyed the characters’ years-long, super slow burn. (Danny shares two sons with his late wife, Linda, but grew close to his partner Maria Baez, played by Marisa Ramirez, toward the end of the series.) CBS Studios president David Stapf, meanwhile, told Deadline in July 2024 that the network was “taking [their] time” in terms of creating another chapter for the Blue Bloods universe.
