Donnie Wahlberg ‘Didn’t Stop Crying’ for Hours After Filming Final ‘Blue Bloods’ Dinner Scene
Donnie Wahlberg explained what it was like filming the final dinner scene in Blue Bloods season 14 and why it was hard for him to control his emotions.
“I remember showing up that morning and there were much, much more crew members watching than usual,” Donnie, 55, recalled during an interview with Entertainment Weekly published on December 7. Donnie said that he was “crying and didn’t stop for a few hours” because he “felt all the emotion of the crew and the rest of the cast members” and he thought about “how profound it was that somehow my life’s journey had taken me to this moment.” Even though it’s the end of an incredible era for the Blue Bloods cast, Donnie is looking forward to fans seeing how the show concludes and is happy to have his supportive wife, Jenny McCarthy, by his side.
