Donatella Versace marked her 70th birthday with George Clooney’s Broadway play ‘Good Night and Good Luck’ before preparing for The Met Gala

Fashion’s biggest night is held on the first Monday of every May to raise money for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute exhibit. Versace has attended countless galas, dressing the likes of Jennifer Lopez, Angelina Jolie, Blake Lively and more Hollywood A-listers through the years. “The design of my dress for this year’s Met Gala was inspired by the Ivy details from Versace Spring Summer ’97,” she wrote via Instagram at the time.
